October 2nd:)

When my sweetie Michael and I got married, we decided to take a picture every month on the 2nd (for our month-versary). We're so good at remembering (not) that we forgot to take one on September 2nd. But we did remember on October 2nd! This was the Sunday we were coming back from Utah visiting Aunt Doreen and Uncle Dan and Kim and Tom. It was a great trip and we were exhausted when we got home (which would explain my tired face haha). Anywho, here it is!

You can see the lovely mural above our bed in the background haha. We like to wake up to a sunrise every morning! Even when we sleep in past noon....

Here are some photos from our trip:

Sarah and Jana sleeping....

Close up view of their lovely faces:):)

Ok, ok. I have a confession. I totally passed out in the middle of Elder Perry's talk. I was still writing when I fell asleep.

Jana's cute new haircut!

uh...me & sarah are weird... let's leave it at that.

Sadly, I don't have any pictures when we were at Kim and Tom's on Saturday night and Sunday morning. It was a blast! I played a variation of freeze tag with Zach, James, Cade, and Kim. Then we had an early birthday party for me! Kim got my favorite cookies, the sugar ones with the picture in the middle. I don't know how else to describe them. They sang me happy birthday and it was so wonderful of them! The next morning before conference started Kim made cinnamon rolls (like the BEST in the entire world. No joke.) and Tom made us egg's benedict, which is amazing! It's an egg with ham on an english muffin covered in a buttery creamy sauce. Delicious.

We watched conference and then headed back to the Burg.

Devotional with Sister Dalton:)

So today Sister Elaine S. Dalton, the Young Women General President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came to speak at the BYU-I devotional. She gave a wonderful and inspiring talk about dreaming big, moving out of our comfort zones, and moving forward with confidence and relying on the strength of the Lord. (it's on the BYU-I website if you want to listen to or read it).

After the devotional came the best part. Michael and I got to meet her and her husband Steve! It was so cool. She is so kind and her eyes shine! I'm so glad I got to meet her. She was my favorite leader in the Young Women's Presidency when I was in young womens. Well now I've got to get back to my homework....see ya!

Is there a minimum word count that constitutes a good blog post? If I throw up a few photos, do they each count as a thousand words?

Stacy and I are back in Rexburg and having a blast. Of course we'd be having a blast wherever we were, but we're grateful that we can be somewhere where we have so many friends and family. We've spent the last week and a half working non stop before school started this monday. We've been fixing, cleaning, and painting our new two bedroom basement apartment. We wish everyone could see it, so if anyone's passing through Rexburg in the next little while, make sure and give us a heads up and get over here!

Here we go working away on the second day here! We did the kitchen first.
I told Stacy if she painted the kitchen wall, then I'd cut my hair...
She was glad to see me cut it...

Looks good, huh?
Oooh, so does this couple eating a chocolate maple covered piece of bacon...

But not nearly as tasty as Stacy's homemade Calzones!! Oooh, these were heavenly. We pretty much eat this good three times a day... I'm so lucky!!

Would you believe me if I told you the previous tenants left this? Haha, jk, this is pretty much the only message that matters... I love you Stacy!!  :)

Love you all. Michael.
